I do think the USA will win this time around, but I don't see Greece getting blown away. The greeks are fighters that have a nice team defense. They also happen to execute on offense and never give up.

Olympics Basketball Games Tuesday August 12th

Basketball: 1W 2L

For me the Lithuania-Iran spread is really on point. I won't touch it. But the under 156.5 is quite appealing. Iran defend way better than they attack and I don;t see them scoring much. I'll try it and hope Lithuania doesn't shoot too well tonight Result: Lithuania shot too well :(. Loss

I am on Greece - 7.5. Greece perimeter defense should choke Germany's guards and stop them from feeding easily the big men. Result: Easy win by the Greeks.

Spain -22 . I really cannot see how the Chinese can get away without being murdered. I don't see them playing Yao too much with the little ankle injury he sustained during USA-China in a game that they are sure to lose. Result: Loss. The Spaniards only cared to play for the last 3 minutes of the game and won by ten. Bad Start for the day

Olympics Basketball Tips

Tonight we got the first men's basketball games of the olympics. 2W 1L

My picks are:

Russia -23.5 Result: Loss, Russia won by... 22. Goddamn they were leading by 20 in the 1st quarter...
Germany -11.5 Result: Germany won by nearly 30
Australia ML Result: Loss

Russia should destroy Iran, they have a pretty good team and Iran really cannot match them in any way except maybe for the center position.

Germany has Nowitski and Kaman, and as long as the German guards do their jobs to feed Nowitski the ball and hit open shots, it should be alright.

Australia is a dog with value. I just think it is 50/50 and they old a lot of value (2.5 line)

Two Irish soccer leans and brazilian soccer plays

Gremio's odd to win is very tempting. Gremio is the best team in the league right now and they are outright dominant away from home. It's a risk worth taking.
Result: Gremio crushed its opponent :)

Playing at home, Flamengo should be able to defeat Paranaense. Not really sure if I will play it because the odds is not that tempting.
Result: Flamengo won 1-0

Sao Paulo's potent attack should help the game vs Goias to have more than 2.5 goals scored.
Result: At halftime the bet is already won, already 3 goals scored.

I'll do my homework on the brazilian B league now.
Only one game that I found to be interesting, Bahia to win at CRB Maceio. The reward can be nice for a game where last place Maceio gets to play one of the best team (when they play away). We get a dog price for a favorite.

I would take Shamrock to win against the lowly Finn Harps. Shamrock is just better and what really has me taking Shamrock is the Finn Harps terrible away record.

Result: Finn Harps won. An anomaly. They practically never win, and here they win and away from home at that. Good capping, bad result, I guess shit happens.

The other game which might be worth wagering is Galway vs UCDublin. Galway sucks at home, but so does UCDublin away from home and all in all the two teams are very even. I am picking a draw.

Result: Galway won by the slightest of margins. :(

Brazilian Soccer Leans

Tonight two Brazilian soccer leans: 2W 0L

Botafogo to win away from home against Figueirense. It is a very risky choice as Botafogo is not really strong away from home, but they have been very efficient for the last 10 games and Figueirense not so much.

Cruzeiro which is one of the top brazilian team (and has won 7 out of 9 at home) should have its way at home against Internacional.

Results: Cruzeiro and Botafogo both win. :)

Tonight like nearly everyday it s Baseball time.
I ll post my picks later and hopefully they will get me some cash.

Picking teams to win in baseball is always tricky, as the line up change very often.
For tonight if I had to pick to bets.
It would be Cincinnati to win and The Chicago White Sox to win.
We shall see now.

Final Result: Loss for Cincy (my bad)and... worse a loss for the White Sox in a marathon game that went to the fourteenth inning. That is terrible, but well, Shit happens. Will be better next time. My bad. I was so tired that I did not look at the right results, eventually the White Sox won the game, so not that bad of a day.

At least I was better on some live betting on bresilian soccer. I did not cover the loss but at least I saved the day a little bit.
